Not much is new ...

Well, my daughter & I went to a hockey game last night and the boys went swimming & hung out in the sauna ... today we hit the aquarium and then a sale that was way to expensive for me!!! Oh well, here are some pics from the aquarium:

The mail lady strikes again!!

Well, Tuesday I got my mini-sockblockers and pattern, Wednesday I got a BIG box with all kinds of wonderful yarn and patterns and today ..... more yarn!! SOCK YARN!! Ain't it pretty?!?!?!

I love getting mail!

I received a lovely package in the post today all the way from Mauritius!! It was from my partner in the 12" crocheted square exchange, but I got a little more than that!! I got two beautiful squares, one of which I think I'm going to have to fight my daughter for - LOL!! I also received some tea, some relaxing bath product, a lovely sachet of pot-pourri, a postcard, a calendar of Mauritius, a thread crocheted doily and a crochet magazine!! I certainly hopes she likes what I've sent her!!

The Tote Exchange

Well, I got an email from my secret partner and I have emailed my partner too! I have the bag pattern picked out & I just ordered the wool - woohoo! So, although I was hoping to get started this weekend, it looks like it will have to wait until next weekend, as long as the order has arrived. Of course the natural thing happened while ordering the suppiles for the bag, I HAD TO order some little goodies for me too - lmbo!!

Oh well, off to work on my socks!!

Anxious

Like a kid waiting for Santa or something - lol ... we get the name of our Tote Exchange partner this week, and I can't wait!! It's kinda fun and challenging at the same time to create something for someone you don't know ... whoever I get & whatever I make, I sure hope they like it!! Maybe I'll browse thru some of the ones I'm deciding between and let 'you the people' vote!!

Finally

Well, at long last I FINALLY took a picture of the scarf I made for dh .... but I think it's going to be dd's instead ..... ::sigh:: ... dh says the colors aren't 'man' enough













It's Noro Kureyon and I used two skeins and when I wound them from the skein I wrapped one from the inside and the other from the outside and then alternated balls every other row. The scarf is done in a mistake rib pattern.

Frightening how accurate it is .....

I saw this quiz & thought, what the heck, I have a few minutes to spare ....... the truly frightening part is, it is 100% correct!!!!! Give it a whirl ..... can't hurt, right?!?!

Socks .....

Yup! That's what I'm frantically working on! I'm in on a sock KAL, so hopefully I wont end up with the dreaded 'second sock syndrome' - lol. I'm not to far along yet, but as soon as I get a few more pattern reps done, I'll post some pics!!

It's The Little Things .....

Yeah, it's those little things that really seem to tick me off!! I recently visited an on-line site where a knitter had posted some of her 'creations' ... Some were very nice and very well done, but the thing that really 'ticked me off' was one items that was posted as something she made was very obviously not a hand-knit by her creation! There is NO WAY that she knit this! How do I know this you ask ... Well, if you saw her other items, you'd know too!! Grrrr! This may seem very petty, but it just bugs me when people take credit for things that they have no right too! How can this really make you feel good as a person to let on that you made something when it is so freakin' obvious that you didn't?!?! Doesn't this person realize that people are just laughing at her behind her back ..... ::sigh:: .... Well, that's my wee rant of the day .... I shall now 'let it go' ....... onto other, and much more important things!
